"My case worker, from the day I met her, has made my life so easier in so many ways. I can't say anything that could make up for what she has done for me, the only word I do have for her is a godsend."
SCDT provides housing and support services to homeless and vulnerable people in Surrey, Sutton and Wokingham, Berkshire.
For contact details of our area offices, click on the Services tab and then on Contact Information.
We have been helping vulnerable people to rebuild their lives for 38 years and we are supporting more people than ever before - over 1,300 a year. We help:
· Young people including those leaving care
· People recovering from alcohol and or substance dependency
· People with mental health issues
· People with learning disabilities
· People who have been in prison
· Families in temporary accommodation
· Older people
· People with physical or sensory disabilities
As well as offering people a safe place to live, SCDT staff work with residents on issues such as self-respect, gaining confidence and motivation.
Some people also need help with developing life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and budgeting.
Residents are encouraged to participate more actively in community life; perhaps through an adult education course, voluntary work in charity shops or other activities.
We are a registered charity (no. 264133) and social landlord (no. H2452).
